Endermologie may sound funny and unfamiliar by name, but you and your smooth skin free of unsightly cellulite will be glad you heard of it!

You gotta admit, no matter how you feel about it, looking your best is important. While looking like an airbrushed glossy shot in a fashion magazine is and never has been a realistic expectation, getting rid of sags and wrinkles and bumps will always make you look better. If you’re one of the millions of people self-concious about having thighs that look like they belong in a vat of cream cheese, you know what I mean! If you’re tired of being self-concious throughout on a day at the pool or loathe to wear shorts even on the hottest days, good news! You can do something about it. Endermologie is a fantastic option to smooth out your thighs and make them look great, and the only cellulite treatment currently endorsed by the FDA.

Endermologie? That’s a funny name, what is it?

In a world of surgeries, body wraps, creams, acupuncture, and who knows what strange experimental devices all claiming to treat cellulite, some (many) of dubious value, Endermologie is unique in that it has been through over 80 clinical trials proving it is effective, making it the only FDA approved cellulite treatment. It’s a motor-driven device roughly the size of a small toaster that uses suction and rollers to stimulate your skin. By massaging and loosening the clumps of tissue that form cellulite, endermologie gets rid of its appearance much quicker than diet and exercise alone. For it to work properly, you do need to eat properly and exercise frequently, as being out of shape (even with minimal excess body fat) is what causes cellulite to form. Endermologie simply allows you to “erase” it quicker and more completely.

The treatment itself takes about 30 minutes, and usually is done once, twice, or three times a week. The experience and skill of the person administering endermologie is related to the outcome, so it’s important to chose someone with experience. It takes a few sessions before results start to appear, so be sure to snap some before-and-after-and-during photos to see how well it’s working.

Once again, it’s important to remember that the only real common factor in women that have cellulite issues is that they are in sub-par physical shape, as it is seen on women of all ages and sizes, including young thin women. Endermologie alone won’t have very good effects if you do not make a serious and continued effort to get in better physical shape, and it certainly won’t help you lose weight by itself.

As with anything, results may vary per person and situation; you won’t know if it will or won’t work for you until you try it. Some people have claimed that it’s really just swelling disguising the cellulite, however considering some of the dramatic and rather permanent effects we’ve seen, this is quite obviously not the case for many people. Since it’s non-surgical and very safe, and has been proven on many occasions to be very effective, the only concern is whether or not it’s worth the price. If you’re a smart consumer though, you know that spending money on something proven and likely to work is much better than throwing money down the drain that is not proven and unlikely, even if the former costs a great deal more, so we highly reccomend endermologie over any other treatment.

Hey in the beauty world a little skepticism never hurts, you never know what snakeoil someone is trying to sell you. Should you be wary of Endermologie?

If you’re not familiar with it, endermologie is a French treatment intended to treat and reduce cellulite without using invasive surgical techniques. It’s performed by a professional using a device roughly the size of your average household iron and uses a sucking motion while rolling over problem areas that show cellulite. Over time, this will reduce the appearance of cellulite leaving you with smooth skin instead of unsightly bumps. We’ve found it to be effective when administered by professionals who have training and experience administering endermologie. Be warned that like anything else, it’s not a magic cure. Cellulite is, in our experience, your body’s way of telling you to get in shape! Developing proper eating habits and getting sufficient exercise is a must for reducing cellulite, but we’ve found that combined with endermologie, you get better results and faster.

We cannot emphasise enough how important it is to get yourself in shape, as you are sure to know, being overweight and out of shape comes with many health and appearance problems that are much worse than cellulite. However we’ve been surprised to find out that endermologie is a surprising and unusual aid for losing weight and staying in shape. We think it might have something to do with something like what one endermologie patient said, “I work hard to stay in shape, but the results are slow in coming. Like anyone else going through this knows, after a couple of weeks of sweating and being hungry seemingly all the time, it’s rough to see the scale hardly budge and your pants still don’t fit! Despite plenty of ‘yo-yo’ diets where I worked hard just to get fatter, I am proud to say I’ve been at my target weight for over a year now… and oddly enough, endermologie did it. I live in a hot area, meaning lots of visits to the pool, and shorts. I had it with feeling insecure about my cellulite! I started exercising again, and decided to try endermologie as it couldn’t hurt. All that yo-yoing was taking an obvious toll on my thighs, but endermologie was like magic. I kept exercising and watching the calories, but it was really nice to start wearing shorts and feel confident again even before I was as thin as I liked! I could never let that feeling go, and I haven’t!” Obviously, a bit of sucking and rolling won’t burn any calories, but a better return on investment (so to speak) for your efforts in getting in shape certainly helps make it easier to stay on track.

An important thing to point out is that of all the miracle creams and magic wands promising to get rid of cellulite, endermologie is the only FDA approved treatment. Cellulite seems to happen as a result of various things in your body getting clogged up and clumping together due to a lack of stimulation and fluctuations in weight and skin elasticity changes that happen with age. Endermologie works by “re-energizing” so to speak the areas in your thigh skin that have gotten clumpy and stagnant, and getting your skin to renew itself so that the elasticity improves. Since cellulite forms as a result of being out of shape and having too much body fat, it’s impossible to get rid of without exercise and healthy eating, but this stimulation combined with a well-executed weight loss plan can reduce or eliminate its appearance very quickly.

If numbers help, more than 95 countries have professionals who offer endermologie treatment, and last we counted more than 85 clinical studies have been done on endermologie just to make sure it really works. The FDA has cleared it several times, as well. It’s been around for over 20 years, and been endorced by a litany of fitness pros, doctors, and, not so surprisingly, models who have found it effective.

The only downside to endermologie is that it won’t come cheap; you need to find someone skilled in endermologie and that is never inexpensive. Unlike an unproven cream or some other fly-by-night treatment, though, endermologie is approved and proven to actually work. It is, after all, a rule of life that for anything, it’s a waste to spend $20 on something completely useless–and something $200 that you get good use out of is not a waste at all. And of course, endermologie is not a wonder treatment that erases the consequences of your actions–to see results you will have to stick to staying in shape, but therein lies the silver lining to the cost: if smooth thighs aren’t motvation enough, not having to pay for and go through treatment ever again should do it!
